Enabling Handsfree Mode to Suppress Dial Tone for
Off-Hook Headsets
If you frequently use a headset, you might want to enable the Handsfree Mode so that you do not hear
the dial tone when you go off hook with your wired or wireless headset.
1. Press the Options soft key.
2. Enter your voicemail password, and press the OK soft key.
The Options menu opens.
3. Press the navigation key to scroll to the Handsfree mode option.
4. To enable handsfree mode, use one of the following methods:
Press the Toggle soft key to toggle the ringer value between Off to On.
Press the selector button on the navigation key pad to toggle between On and Off.
On the navigation key pad, press the key to select On or the key to select Off.
5. Press the Exit soft key.
Modifying the Workgroup Agent State
If you have at least a Workgroup Agent Access License and you are a member of a workgroup, you
can configure whether your workgroup agent is logged in or logged out by using your phone. If you are
a workgroup supervisor or an operator, you can also specify Wrap Up mode from your phone.
1. Press the Options soft key.
2. Enter your voicemail password, and press the OK soft key.
The Options menu opens.
3. Press the navigation key to scroll to the Agent state menu, which indicates your current agent
state with a check mark.
4. Press the Edit soft key.
5. Press the navigation key to highlight the workgroup agent state that you want to change to, as
follows:
To log in, highlight Login and press the OK soft key.
Note
Even with Handsfree Mode enabled, if you have unheard voicemail messages you hear a short stutter
tone.
